Media: Trump sending his envoy to Ukraine Recovery Conference in Rome

07 July 2025 10:56

Keith Kellogg, the special envoy of U.S. President Donald Trump for Ukraine, is scheduled to visit Rome this week to meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and participate in the Ukraine Recovery Conference (URC), informed sources say.

Kellogg will be part of the American delegation at the conference hosted by Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni on July 10–11. The event will bring together several world leaders, including Ukrainian President Zelenskyy, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk, among others, Caliber.Az reprots, citing Ukrainian news outlet Kyiv Post.

It remains unclear whether other members of the Trump administration will join Kellogg at the conference.

The annual series of high-level URCs – previously held in Lugano (2022), London (2023) and Berlin (2024) – aims to continue the global mobilization to support the reconstruction and modernization of the war-torn country, while also exploring the current economic, political and security landscape in Ukraine, assessing the key challenges.

The URC, a high-stakes event dedicated to the reconstruction of Ukraine during and after Russia’s war, will bring together government officials, international organizations, financial institutions, business leaders, municipalities, and other stakeholders to discuss how policy, business, and international engagement can shape a sustainable reconstruction, organizers told Kyiv Post.
