Russian drone strikes on Ukraine's Kharkiv injure 20, including children
07 July 2025 09:45
In the early hours of July 7, Russian forces launched an attack on the Ukrainian city of Kharkiv using Shahed-type combat drones.
Explosions were heard across the city, and at least 20 people were reported injured, including children, Caliber.Az cites Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov as saying on his Telegram channel.
“Kharkiv has just been attacked by two enemy Shahed drones,” Terekhov stated.
Shahed drones, particularly the Shahed-136 (Geran-2 in Russia), are Iranian-designed loitering munitions used extensively by Russia since September 2022 to target Ukrainian civilian and energy infrastructure.
