President Zelenskyy meets with NATO chief in US to strengthen military ties VIDEO
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg during his visit to the United States.
During the meeting, Zelenskyy expressed his gratitude to Stoltenberg for his support of Ukraine during his tenure as NATO Secretary General, as well as for his efforts in strengthening the Ukrainian military, Caliber.Az reports via Zelensky's Telegram channel.
The two leaders discussed the need to bolster Ukraine’s air defence capabilities, continue working towards Ukraine’s membership in NATO, and implement the agreements reached at the Alliance’s Washington Summit.
The discussions focused on reinforcing Ukraine's air defences and advancing the country's NATO membership bid, alongside the practical steps required to deliver on the commitments made during the Washington Summit.
On September 23, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy paid a visit to an ammunition factory in Pennsylvania, expressing his gratitude to the workers producing one of the most vital munitions needed in Ukraine.
During the visit to the Scranton Army Ammunition Plant, Zelenskyy was accompanied by Democratic Congressman Matt Cartwright, who said the president delivered a straightforward message: "Thank you. And we need more."
The Scranton facility is one of the few locations in the US that manufactures 155mm artillery shells. Over the past year, it has ramped up production, with Ukraine having already received over 3 million of these shells from the US.
