Zelenskyy accuses Russia of waging “human safari” with drone attacks VIDEO

04 August 2026 17:54

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has accused Russia of conducting a “human safari” by using drones to deliberately target civilians in the southern city of Kherson.

In a post on his Telegram channel, Zelenskyy said the latest drone attack, in which a fruit vendor was targeted, demonstrated Russia's continued campaign against civilians, Caliber.Az reports.

“Today, many people were shocked by yet another video of the 'safari' that the Russians are carrying out with drones against people in Kherson. A Russian drone deliberately tracked a man selling vegetables in Kherson and exploded next to him. The man was injured in the blast.

The world must see this. (...) We must act and support life in such a way that Russia is forced to truly think about peace, rather than how to increase the range of its drones.

And this concerns not only Ukraine. Russia's 'human safari' must be stopped in Ukraine and must certainly not spread to other countries. Finland and Kazakhstan, the Baltic states and Poland, the countries of the South Caucasus, Romania and Moldova — all should cooperate to achieve real security guarantees and bring Russia's war to an end. Peace is needed, and that requires cooperation among everyone in the world who truly values peace,” Zelenskyy wrote.

Earlier on August 4, a Russian drone pursued and then struck a 52-year-old fruit vendor in Kherson. The man sustained blast injuries, a concussion and shrapnel wounds.
