Pundit: Pashinyan decided to finally bury Armenia by leaving CSTO
International law and politics expert Armen Manvelyan said in his interview with Armenian media that PM Pashinyan's decision to leave CSTO may destroy Armenia.
"The advantage of the CSTO was that through the CSTO Armenia created a political balance in the region, because the architecture that was there, the mechanisms of balance that were there, were transferred to Azerbaijan," he said, according to Caliber.Az.
"It's not that the CSTO is a highly effective structure, but even with its low efficiency, it has important tools that we used to know how to use. But since we are dealing with a dilettante political regime, their goal is to sell all security issues of Armenia, trying to go to the West and achieve some promises from the West. They decided to finally bury Armenia by withdrawing from the CSTO.
In other words, the problem of Armenia's security has not existed for a long time, there is only the issue of preserving their regime," the expert said.
