Putin: West's rejection of Russia's energy resources in next few years unlikely
Russian President Vladimir Putin has stated that Western countries are unlikely to abandon Russian energy resources in the coming years.
He made the remarks at a meeting with young entrepreneurs, TASS reports.
"As for the abandonment of our energy resources, this is unlikely over the next few years, and in a few years, it is unknown what will happen. No one will concrete wells, there is no such need," the Russian leader said.
In addition, Putin drew attention to the fact that today economic conditions are being created in the country, under which it becomes more profitable every day to sell not raw materials, but petroleum products. The head of state believes that this is the future.
At the same meeting, the president called sanctions on the import of microelectronics one of the main directions of the "strike" against Russia.
He said that the government has been trying to launch the microelectronic industry for several years.
