Qatar’s Emir holds talks with international leaders on Middle East crisis
Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani held separate phone conversations with the presidents of Djibouti and Colombia—Ismail Omar Guelleh and Gustavo Petro—as well as with Spain’s King Felipe VI, emphasising the need to halt escalation in the Middle East and prevent the conflict from spreading.
During the discussions, he also called to intensify international efforts to resolve the crisis through dialogue and diplomacy.
Djibouti’s president expressed solidarity with Qatar and supported the country’s stance against Iranian aggression.
Colombia’s president confirmed support for Qatar’s measures to protect sovereignty, security, and stability.
Spain’s King Felipe VI also underscored his country’s solidarity, praising Doha’s efforts to maintain regional security and stability.
Meanwhile, missile attacks and strikes by Iran continue across the Persian Gulf states, as well as in Jordan and Iraq.
