Royal FloraHolland opens market for Armenian flower producers
Dutch Foreign Minister Tom Berendsen has said he supports a package of European Union measures aimed at assisting affected sectors, including Armenia’s flower industry.
According to Armenian media reports cited by Caliber.Az, the company Royal FloraHolland is opening its market to Armenian flower producers, enabling them to connect with buyers across Europe and beyond.
Berendsen also stressed the importance of free and fair elections as the foundation of a sustainable democratic future, which he said “should be determined by Armenia itself.”
Royal FloraHolland is the world’s largest cooperative trading platform for flowers and ornamental plants, headquartered in the Netherlands. It brings together thousands of growers and facilitates the daily trade of millions of flowers through auctions and digital platforms, linking suppliers with buyers across Europe and other regions.
It is noted that Russia’s Rosselkhoznadzor introduced temporary restrictions on flower imports from Armenia starting May 22, 2026, pending inspections of greenhouse facilities and analysis of results.
