Pashinyan, Putin explore Armenia-EU ties, energy cooperation UPDATED
In a phone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan provided clarification on Yerevan's recent actions concerning its relations with the European Union.
The discussion included an exchange of views, with President Putin offering relevant comments and assessments on the matter, Caliber.Az reports citing the Russian president’s press service.
Following the December 2024 meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council, key issues related to further deepening integration cooperation were discussed, with a particular focus on the energy sector.
The sides emphasized the substantial practical benefits of their collaborative efforts within the Eurasian Economic Council, highlighting the positive impact on Armenia’s economy.

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Russian President Vladimir Putin held a phone conversation, discussing key bilateral issues as well as the agenda of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU).
The leaders reviewed the results of Armenia’s presidency within the EAEU and discussed upcoming events related to the union, Caliber.Az reports citing Russian media.
The sides also touched on several issues pertaining to Armenian-Russian relations.
The last in-person meeting between the leaders took place in October in Kazan, during the BRICS+ summit.
In December, Prime Minister Pashinyan participated in a meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council via video conference.
