Russia remains main market for Georgian blueberries

Russia accounted for more than 90% of Georgia’s blueberry exports between May 1 and September 1, 2026, with 9,300 tons shipped to the country, according to the Georgian Ministry of Agriculture.

Overall, Georgia exported 10,200 tons of blueberries during the period, 52% more than in the same period last year, with the remainder shipped to a range of other markets, Caliber.Az reports, citing Sputnik Georgia.

Germany received 240 tons, followed by Armenia with 195 tons, the Netherlands with 167 tons, Türkiye with 102 tons, Poland with 76 tons and the United Arab Emirates with 70 tons, while smaller volumes were exported to other countries.

In value terms, Georgia’s blueberry exports reached $64.1 million, marking a 42% increase from the 2025 figure.

Georgia began exporting blueberries in 2019, with both export volumes and values doubling annually. Russia has remained the largest importer of Georgian blueberries over the past five years.
