Fire breaks out at Istanbul hotel, guests evacuated

A fire broke out at a hotel in Istanbul’s Bakırköy district on September 5, prompting the evacuation of people from the building, according to Turkish media.

“Firefighters are evacuating people inside the hotel,” Cumhuriyet newspaper reported.

Fire crews were dispatched to the scene and continued efforts to bring the blaze under control.

No information was immediately available on the cause of the fire, the number of people evacuated or any casualties.
