Türkiye downgrades 2027 economic growth forecast

Türkiye has lowered its economic growth forecast for next year, Bloomberg reports, citing the government’s economic program.
Under the revised forecast, Türkiye’s GDP is expected to grow by 4.2% in 2027, down from the previous estimate of 4.3%. The government also cut its growth forecast for this year from 3.8% to 3.3%.
The government is targeting an inflation rate of 21% by the end of 2027.
At the same time, the projected budget deficit has been revised upward. The deficit is now expected to reach 3.5% of GDP in 2027, compared with the previous forecast of 3.1%.
