Russia developing "flying wing" type drone
Russian specialists are developing a new "flying wing" type unmanned aerial vehicle for reconnaissance, artillery fire correction and communication relay, including for the new Scalpel strike platform.
"A flying wing type vehicle with a wingspan of about 3 meters is under development. It is planned to start testing by the end of February 2024. The drone will be designed for reconnaissance, relaying communications - including for the new Scalpel strike platform. In addition, it will be used for objective control - whether the target has been hit or not, as well as correcting artillery fire," the Vostok design bureau told TASS.
The apparatus will be able to stay in the air for up to six hours. The flight range is up to 100 kilometres, payload - up to 4 kg.
