Türkiye’s top diplomat: No barriers to possible Putin–Zelenskyy meeting
Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan has made a new statement regarding the potential meeting between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Speaking to TRT Haber, Fidan said that Moscow is currently ready to hold a third round of negotiations and is awaiting Ukraine’s response, Caliber.Az informs.
He also revealed that discussions are underway about a possible face-to-face meeting between the Russian and Ukrainian leaders. According to Fidan, unlike in the past, no party — including President Putin — currently sees obstacles to such a meeting.
“There are no barriers to a meeting between Trump, Putin, Zelensky, and our president,” Fidan added, suggesting that broader diplomatic engagement could be on the table.
Türkiye has previously played a key mediating role in talks between Kyiv and Moscow, including the negotiation of the Black Sea Grain Initiative.
