Russia to present Viking, Vityaz anti-aircraft missile systems at Dubai Airshow

At the International Aviation and Space Exhibition Dubai Airshow-2023, the Almaz-Antey Aerospace Defense Concern will present samples of the S-350E Vityaz medium-range anti-aircraft missile system (SAM) and the Viking medium-range anti-aircraft missile systems (SAM).

The Vityaz air defense system, which has a range of up to 120 km, is intended for the defense of administrative, industrial and military facilities from massive air strikes, Gazeta.Ru reports, citing the company’s press service.

At the same time, the air defense system has the ability to operate both autonomously and under the control of higher command posts.

In turn, the Viking air defense system is designed for the defense of troops and facilities and is capable of destroying tactical and strategic aircraft, helicopters, tactical ballistic and cruise missiles, and unmanned aerial vehicles. The complex is able to effectively perform tasks against electronic and fire countermeasures. The air defense system can be placed on either a tracked or wheeled base.
