Russia, Ukraine report repelling overnight aerial attacks PHOTO
Russia and Ukraine on July 14 reported intercepting large numbers of drones and missiles during overnight attacks, as aerial exchanges between the two countries continued.
Russia's Ministry of Defence said its air defence systems intercepted and destroyed 288 Ukrainian fixed-wing drones between 20:00 Moscow time on July 13 and 08:00 Moscow time on July 14, Caliber.Az reports.
According to the ministry, the drones were downed over the Belgorod, Bryansk, Voronezh, Kaluga, Kursk, Lipetsk, Oryol, Rostov, Ryazan, Saratov and Tula regions, the Moscow region, Krasnodar Krai and Bashkortostan, as well as over the Azov and Black Seas.
Meanwhile, Ukraine's Air Force said Russia launched an overnight attack using eight Iskander-M/S-400 ballistic missiles, two Kh-59/69 guided air-to-surface missiles and 135 attack drones of various types.
According to preliminary data, Ukrainian air defences shot down or intercepted five ballistic missiles, both guided missiles and 108 drones across northern, southern, eastern and central parts of the country.

Ukraine said one ballistic missile and 25 attack drones struck 17 locations, while debris from intercepted targets fell at 10 other sites. The status of two additional ballistic missiles was still being verified.
"The attack is ongoing; Russian UAVs are in the airspace. Please observe safety precautions!" the Ukrainian Armed Forces said in a statement.
