Media: Military communities discuss possible death of Rusich commander

Information about the possible death of Alexey Milchakov, commander of the Rusich Sabotage-Assault Reconnaissance Group (DShRG), has begun circulating widely on the Russian segment of social media and in military-focused communities, Avia.pro reports, citing a political analyst Artur Rubaev’s Telegram channel.

The report said, however, there has been no official confirmation from government agencies so far.

In his post, Rubaev referred to a private conversation with a colleague who had reportedly passed on information from the front line.

The report has caused a strong reaction among participants in the “special military operation” and military correspondents. Many commentators have expressed hope that the reports are part of a deliberate disinformation campaign by Ukrainian intelligence services aimed at demoralising personnel in Russian volunteer formations.

The Rusich Sabotage-Assault Reconnaissance Group, led by Milchakov, has been actively involved in fighting in some of the most difficult areas along the line of contact since 2014.

The unit is known for its effectiveness in reconnaissance, sabotage and assault operations.

Until official statements are issued by people close to Milchakov or relevant authorities, the information remains unconfirmed.
