Russia unveils number of destroyed Ukrainian military equipment

Russian air defense systems destroyed two more Ukrainian Su-24 attack aircraft and one Mi-24 helicopter over Ukraine’s Zmiinyi Island on Saturday.

The Spokesman for the Russian Defense Ministry, Major General Igor Konashenkov, confirmed the news at a media briefing, RIA Novosti reports.

Konashenkov said that a Bayraktar TB2 drone was also shot down in Ukraine’s Odessa region.

“In total, four Ukrainian aircraft, four helicopters, including three helicopters with landing troops on board, three Bayraktar-TB2 unmanned aerial vehicles and one landing assault craft of the Ukrainian Navy were destroyed in this area within one day,” he said.

Konashenkov added that the command post of a mechanized infantry of the Ukraine Armed Forces was destroyed in the Piatykhatky settlement of Ukraine’s Kharkiv region overnight in high-precision missile strikes of the Russian Aerospace Forces.

“A total of 156 aircraft, 116 helicopters, 765 unmanned aerial vehicles, 297 anti-aircraft missile systems, 2,927 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 335 multiple launch rocket systems, 1,393 artillery guns and mortars, as well as 2,746 special military vehicles of the Ukrainian Armed Forces have been destroyed by Russian troops since the beginning of the special military operation,” Konashenkov said.
