Russian, Armenian leaders meet in Bishkek
Russian President Vladimir Putin and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan have met in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.
"Russia remains Armenia's leading trade and economic partner," President Putin said at a meeting with Pashinyan, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Armenian media.
The Russian president noted that over 30 per cent of Armenia's trade turnover accounts for Russia. The Russian Federation is also one of the leading investors in the Armenian economy - about 40 per cent of investments.
President Putin also said that the trade turnover growth reached 67 per cent in the first 10 months of this year.
This a serious and positive indicator, he noted.
The president added that however, there are always issues that should be discussed, and he is glad for the opportunity to meet.
The EAEU summit is being held in Bishkek on December 9. The EAEU chairmanship will pass to Russia on January 1, 2023.
