Russian attacks kill six, wound dozens in Ukraine's Kherson region
Six people were killed and 27 others injured in Russian strikes on Ukraine’s southern Kherson region over the past 24 hours, the head of the regional military administration, Oleksandr Prokudin, said.
According to Prokudin, the attacks targeted both civilian infrastructure and residential areas across multiple settlements in the region.
“Russian military forces struck social infrastructure and residential areas of settlements in the region, in particular damaging six multi-storey buildings and nine private houses. Russian troops also damaged administrative buildings, shops, a public catering establishment, a gas station, a mobile communication tower, an outbuilding and private vehicles, and hit the territory of a farming enterprise,” he said.
He added that the strikes resulted in six fatalities and 27 injuries during the reporting period.
Authorities also carried out evacuations from areas previously retaken by Ukrainian forces.
“Yesterday, eight people were evacuated from liberated communities of the region,” he said.
