Russia reports strikes on Ukraine’s logistics centres, ports

29 August 2026 11:01

Russia’s Defence Ministry said Russian forces carried out overnight strikes on August 29 against logistics hubs and seaports in Ukraine that were being used in support of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

According to the ministry, strikes in the Kyiv region hit the Fim Service transport and logistics centre in Chaiky, where components for Ukraine’s long-range Flamingo cruise missiles were allegedly stored, as well as a logistics centre in Kalynivka containing a customs terminal used to distribute military cargo arriving from Western countries.

The ministry also said a Fire Point ammunition warehouse in Milaya was hit. It claimed the facility stored components and launch boosters for FP-1 and FP-2 long-range drones.

In the port of Izmail, Russian forces reportedly struck a parking area for fuel tankers and sites used to unload fuel and lubricants intended for Ukrainian forces.

In the port of Mykolaiv, the ministry said the strikes targeted a maritime transhipment terminal, logistics centres used to unload and store military cargo, 18 warehouses containing military equipment and supplies, and three fuel and lubricant storage facilities.
