Russian, Belarusian leaders meeting in Sochi
Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Belarusian counterpart Alexander Lukashenko are holding talks in Sochi in an informal setting.
The day before Lukashenko said he wanted to offer Putin to work out a plan of internal development of the Union State, so that the union would be self-sufficient and could not be put under pressure, including by the dollar or other currencies, according to TASS.
Belarusian President also called for a revision of the regulatory framework of the Union State, the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) and the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) - to discard the superfluous, “leave the main directions” and “return to fundamental documents”, specifically prescribing formats for responding to certain situations.
In addition, Lukashenka promised to inform Putin about his meeting with the secretaries of the Collective Security Treaty Organization Security Councils, which had taken place the day before.
