Russian FM suggests waiting for “final borders” when asked for globe by child
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has pledged to fulfill a Moscow schoolboy’s wish for a globe, while adding that it might be worth waiting a little longer so that the globe would reflect “final borders.”
During an event held as part of the nationwide “Christmas Tree of Dreams” initiative, Lavrov selected a wish card from an eight-year-old boy from Moscow who asked for a globe, Caliber.Az reports via TASS.
“Maybe we'll wait a little? So that the final borders are already on the globe. But we will definitely do it,” Lavrov said.
The All-Russian “Wishing Tree” campaign has been held annually since 2018 and is designed to fulfill New Year wishes of children facing difficult circumstances, including orphans, children with disabilities, and gifted children.
