Russian security chief arrives in Astana for talks on Syria, Central Asia, Afghanistan
Russian Security Council Secretary Sergey Shoigu has arrived in Astana to discuss bilateral relations between Russia and Kazakhstan.
The Russian Security Council press service says the visit's agenda also includes security issues, as well as the situation in Syria, Caliber.Az reports via Russian media.
The visit will feature bilateral consultations between the security councils of Russia and Kazakhstan, as well as a key meeting with Kazakhstan's Security Council Secretary Gizat Nurdauletov.
The participants will discuss various aspects of bilateral relations, current challenges and threats to international and regional security, as well as the situation in Central Asia, Syria and Afghanistan.
Shoigu is also expected to meet with Kazakh President Kasym-Jomart Tokayev.
