Trump tells countries to pay US for protecting shipping in Strait of Hormuz

US President Donald Trump has demanded that countries that did not support Washington during the crisis involving Iran and shipping in the Strait of Hormuz compensate the United States for the costs it incurred.

“Oil is flowing through the Hormuz Strait. The Countries of the World, which have been no help to us whatsoever, should, and will, reimburse the United States of America when this SCAM Confligration is all over,” he wrote on Truth Social.

Trump added that the United States does “much more for others” than it does for itself and has been doing so for generations.
