Serious road accident in Armenia kills 4 soldiers, injures dozens
A serious road accident in Armenia has claimed the lives of 4 soldiers.
A Ural truck belonging to the Ministry of Defence skidded off the road and into a ravine at around 15:25 on April 12. The circumstances are unclear.
Caliber.Az, citing Armenian media, reported that the hospital said that 20 people were injured and 4 died as a result of the incident.
On April 13, another two people were injured in a separate road accident.
"We have not yet recovered from the news of the dead and injured as a result of the accident of the Defence Ministry's Ural truck in Syunik (Zangezur - ed.), there is a new incident, this time in the 2nd Army Corps. According to reports, a Kamaz truck was involved in an accident while changing position in Ardanish (Ardanysh - ed.); according to preliminary reports, two people were injured. Defence Ministry spokesman Aram Torosyan said the soldiers were not seriously injured," Armenian media reported.
