Slovakia seeks agreement with EU Partners on Russian energy supplies

Slovakia aims to reach an agreement with its European partners on the issue of Russian energy supplies by July 15, Prime Minister Robert Fico announced at a press conference on July 12, Prime reports.

“We want to resolve everything by Tuesday,” Fico stated.

He noted that Slovakia would proceed with voting on new sanctions against Russia only if it receives guarantees from the European Commission and its partners regarding continued access to Russian energy resources.
