Russian missile strike damages another synagogue in Ukraine PHOTO
A synagogue in Kherson, Ukraine, was struck by a Russian missile on October 23, causing significant damage to the building but resulting in no injuries, according to local reports.
Ukraine’s Chief Rabbi, Moshe Reuven Azman, said in a Facebook post that the missile hit the synagogue directly but failed to detonate, Caliber.Az reports.
He described the incident as a miracle, noting that although the missile damaged the roof and interior, those inside at the time were unharmed.
Rabbi Azman also warned of what he called a “frightening trend” of attacks on Jewish sites, referencing another recent incident in Kyiv. He urged members of Ukraine’s Jewish community to remain vigilant and to always heed air raid alerts.
The Kherson strike marks the latest in a series of attacks on civilian and religious sites amid ongoing Russian assaults across Ukraine.
