Germany to provide Ukraine with Patriot interceptor missiles

Germany will provide Ukraine with “urgently needed” interceptor missiles for Patriot air defense systems from Bundeswehr stocks, Defence Minister Boris Pistorius has said.

According to him, preparations for Ukraine for the winter are a “priority task,” Caliber.Az reports, citing Russian media.

Earlier, Ukrainian media reported that France and Italy plan to provide the Ukrainian Armed Forces with SAMP/T systems and Aster missiles.

The European Commission also approved the purchase of Patriot missiles using an EU loan, with €3.2 billion allocated for the purpose.
