Dutch minister: Russia’s escalation proves Western pressure is working

Dutch Foreign Minister Thomas Berendsen has said Russia’s escalation of its hybrid warfare shows that Western pressure is having an effect.

Speaking during a visit to Vilnius, he said Europe was increasing its support for Ukraine and stepping up pressure on Russia to encourage it to consider negotiations, Caliber.Az reports, citing foreign media.

“We are seeing a certain escalation from Russia – this demonstrates that the pressure is working, and that is precisely why they are resorting to escalation,” Berendsen said.
