Russia strikes Kharkiv with guided bombs: Several may be trapped under rubble
Russian forces attacked the Ukrainian city of Kharkiv with guided bombs, sparking fires and causing multiple injuries, according to local authorities.
"At one of the impact sites, a civilian enterprise was damaged — there are injured people. Several cars were damaged, and a fire broke out. Inspections of the impact sites are ongoing," Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov said, Caliber.Az reports per Ukrainian media.
Terekhov noted that at least three people were injured in the strike, and there may be individuals trapped under the rubble.
"According to updated information, one hit occurred at a motor depot, where more than 20 vehicles were damaged. Another hit targeted a civilian enterprise. Three people were injured, one of them hospitalized. Firefighting operations are ongoing," he added.
Currently, six people are reported injured following the attack on Kharkiv's Industrial District.
"Among them is a 69-year-old woman who suffered an acute stress reaction. Medical teams are on site providing all necessary assistance," said Oleh Syniehubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration.
Authorities continue to assess the full extent of the damage, while emergency services remain on the scene.
