Night of drones: Russia launches massive strike on Ukraine PHOTO

In the early hours of February 11, Russia carried out a massive drone assault on Ukraine, deploying 129 strike drones, including Shahed, Gerber, and Italmas models, alongside other unmanned aerial systems. 

Around 80 of the drones were identified as Shahed models, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said.

The attack was countered by a combination of Ukrainian air forces, surface-to-air missile units, electronic warfare divisions, and mobile strike teams of the Defence Forces.

By morning, Ukrainian air defences had reportedly shot down or neutralised 112 Russian drones. Nonetheless, 15 strike drones hit eight locations across the country, causing damage and prompting ongoing security responses.
