Kazakh special forces make strong debut at UAE SWAT Challenge
Kazakhstan’s special forces teams delivered strong performances on the opening day of the international UAE SWAT Challenge in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
All four Kazakh teams finished among the top ten out of 109 units representing law enforcement agencies from 48 countries, per a Kazakh outlet.
Kazakhstan C led the standings, followed by Kazakhstan D in second place. Kazakhstan B ranked fourth, while Kazakhstan A secured tenth place, rounding out the top ten.
The Kazakh women’s team, Tomiris, placed 20th overall while comfortably leading their category.
Kazakhstan is represented at the tournament by personnel from the State Security Service, the National Security Committee, and the Ministry of Internal Affairs, with all teams competing under a single national flag.
The UAE SWAT Challenge runs for five competitive days and concludes on February 11. This is the seventh year of the international competition. Kazakhstan’s National Guard first participated in the event in 2019, and since 2023, additional special units from the country have joined the tournament.
