On 10 February, an official welcome ceremony was held for U.S. Vice President James David Vance.

A ceremonial honour guard was assembled in the square, with the flags of both countries flying, in honour of the U.S. Vice President, Caliber.Az reports via Azertag.

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received Vice President Vance upon his arrival.

The commander of the honour guard reported to Vice President Vance.

The national anthems of the United States and the Republic of Azerbaijan were played.

Members of the Azerbaijani delegation were presented to Vice President Vance, while members of the U.S. delegation were presented to President Aliyev.

The honour guard marched past President Aliyev and Vice President Vance to the sound of a military march.

The ceremony concluded with an official photo session.
