Russian drone attack in Ukraine's Sumy region kills two
A Russian drone strike in Ukraine’s Sumy region has claimed the lives of two pensioners and left multiple people injured, local authorities reported.
According to Sumy regional military administration, cited by ASTRA, the first fatality occurred in the Seredyno-Budska community, where a 72-year-old man was killed overnight.
A neighbouring house was heavily damaged, leaving a man, a woman, and their three children—a 16-year-old boy and a 16-year-old girl among them—injured. One home was completely destroyed, and several surrounding buildings sustained structural damage.
In the Krasnopilska community, a 71-year-old man also died as a result of the attack. The Sumy community reported injuries to a 12-year-old girl, while a 9-year-old boy suffered an acute stress reaction. Additional casualties included a 60-year-old man in the Velykopysarivska community and a 74-year-old woman in the Myropilska community.
