Netanyahu arrives in Washington despite ICC warrant, set to meet Trump video
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has arrived in Washington, DC, where he is scheduled to meet US President Donald Trump at the White House.
Upon arrival, he travelled in a large Secret Service motorcade. Authorities temporarily shut down sections of Interstate 695 West, and helicopters were deployed over the area as part of heightened security measures.
Netanyahu’s aircraft travelled over Greece, Italy, and France despite an arrest warrant issued against him by the International Criminal Court. Flight Radar data show that after departing Israel, the plane flew across the Mediterranean Sea and European airspace before heading toward the Atlantic Ocean en route to the United States.
Since arriving in Washington, the Israeli prime minister has already met with US President’s special envoy Steven Witkoff and Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner. According to Israeli media reports, the talks covered regional developments, and Witkoff and Kushner briefed Netanyahu on the first round of negotiations with Iran held on February 6.
