Sofa with built-in refrigerator invented in UK
British designers have developed a multifunctional sofa with a refrigerator, a popcorn maker and a colour change button.
The British company Sofology conducted a study among 2,000 people and found that not only soft upholstery makes an ideal sofa, but also the presence of a variety of additional features - for example, a built-in foot massager or a system that turns on the light in the room if the owner dozed off, Express reports.
Based on the results, the company designed the perfect sofa for any home.
The two-story structure accommodates a refrigerator, popcorn maker, heated seats, massage chairs, speakers and connectors for recharging gadgets. At the same time, the sofa should be made of a special fabric that is quickly cleaned of stains left by pets, children's drawings or accidentally spilt drinks. And so that the piece of furniture does not get bored, the designers have developed a button to change the colour of the upholstery.
In reality, however, there is no such thing.
“This ingenious sofa would probably cost as much as a leg or an arm if it actually existed. But our team had a lot of fun creating a project that would meet the idea of the ideal sofa for all Britons,” Jennifer Fellows, brand manager for consumer relations, told Express.
