South Korea considers sending military specialists to Ukraine Amid North Korean involvement
The South Korean government is contemplating the deployment of additional personnel to Ukraine in light of potential North Korean military involvement in the ongoing conflict.
Discussions are underway regarding a proposal to send specialized intelligence officers and military tacticians familiar with North Korean operations, Caliber.Az reports citing foreign media.
This move would be a response to the possibility of large-scale participation by North Korean soldiers in Ukraine.
A source from South Korean intelligence indicated that these specialists could assist with interrogations and translations if North Korean soldiers are captured. They may also be tasked with measures to prevent defectors from seeking asylum in South Korea.
While the South Korean experts could provide valuable insights into the DPRK's military tactics and structure, there is currently no information on how the Ukrainian government would respond to this proposal. Earlier reports from South Korean intelligence suggested that North Korean military personnel might be dispatched to support Russian forces.
