Powerful eruption at Hawaii’s Kīlauea volcano VIDEO

Hawaii’s Kīlauea volcano erupted again, sending lava nearly 500 metres into the air, the US Geological Survey’s Hawaiian Volcano Observatory has reported.

The eruption lasted about eight hours, during which lava flows, rocks, and ash covered viewing areas, hiking trails, and affected nearby communities.

The US National Weather Service issued warnings for ashfall, expected across eastern and southeastern parts of the Hawaiian Islands.
