Syria signs agreement with UNHCR to boost legal cooperation

Syria’s Minister of Justice, Mazhar al-Wais, has signed a memorandum of understanding with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) aimed at strengthening collaboration in legal and humanitarian areas.

The agreement, announced on the Syrian Justice Ministry’s official Telegram channel, was signed by Minister al-Wais and Gonzalo Vargas Llosa, the UNHCR Representative in Syria, Caliber.Az reports via SANA. 

According to the ministry, the memorandum is designed to improve coordination between the Justice Ministry and international organisations, supporting nationwide initiatives for legal protection and access to justice.
