Strike hits oil depot in Ukraine’s Lviv region, carbon monoxide levels rise VIDEO / UPDATED
Russian strike was confirmed to have hit an oil depot in the village of Smilne, Lviv region, Ukraine, causing elevated carbon monoxide levels. Earlier, classes in Brody were cancelled due to smoke and unpleasant odours.
Residents with chronic respiratory and cardiovascular conditions have been advised to remain indoors and limit time spent outside until air quality indicators return to normal, Caliber.Az reports via Ukrainian media.
Specialists continue to monitor the air and are providing updates on the results of ongoing inspections.

Classes in Brody, Lviv region, Ukraine, were cancelled on January 27 due to smoke and unpleasant odours caused by a Russian strike on an infrastructure facility, according to the ASTRA Telegram channel.
The city council stated that specialists were also measuring air quality indicators and that the results would be announced later, Caliber.Az reports.
“Currently, the city is experiencing smoke and unpleasant odours. Please keep windows and doors tightly closed and limit outdoor movement. Schools are cancelled today, while kindergartens that have already admitted children will operate with windows and doors tightly closed,” the statement read.
The Lviv Regional Military Administration confirmed the attack on the infrastructure site and said that, according to preliminary information, no casualties have been reported.
