Indian PM Modi highlights growing Global South confidence in BRICS
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi said countries of the Global South are placing growing confidence in BRICS
Speaking during the 18th BRICS summit, Modi attributed this trend to the bloc’s efforts to ensure that their voices are heard, their experience is respected, and decisions are developed jointly, according to Russian media.
“From my personal experience, I can say that the countries of the Global South are increasingly confident in BRICS because their voices are heard, their experience is treated with respect, and decisions are developed not simply for them, but together with them,” Modi said.
He emphasized that the diversity evident in interstate cooperation is one of the group’s strengths. Despite differing realities, the countries continue to work together and achieve results for the benefit of all humanity, the PM added.
