Syria accuses Hezbollah of targeting journalists at border VIDEO
Syria's Ministry of Information issued a strong condemnation on March 17, accusing Hezbollah of targeting a group of journalists at the Syria-Lebanon border.
The statement described the attack as a "blatant violation of international laws that protect journalists" and urged the Lebanese government to hold those responsible accountable for their actions, Caliber.Az reports via Arab media.

The Ministry's remarks came after reports emerged from the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA), which revealed that Syria's Defense Ministry had also accused Hezbollah militants of crossing into Syrian territory, kidnapping Syrian soldiers, and executing them on Lebanese soil. The ministry expressed grave concern, pledging a firm response to what it called a "dangerous escalation" of the conflict.
In a response issued by Hezbollah, the group categorically denied any involvement in the recent incidents, including the alleged targeting of journalists and the cross-border violence. Hezbollah emphasized that it had no connection to the events and claimed it had not engaged in any activities within Syrian territory.
Meanwhile, the Lebanese Army reported that three Syrian soldiers had entered Lebanese territory and were subsequently killed by armed members of a local tribe in northeastern Lebanon. The tribe, fearing an attack on their town, acted in self-defence, according to the Lebanese military. The bodies of the fallen soldiers have since been returned to Syrian authorities.
