Three killed, 15 injured in fresh Israeli strike on southern Gaza
Sources in Gaza report that at least three people have been killed and 15 others injured following an Israeli military strike on a target near Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip.
According to Newsru.co.il, Israeli forces continue intensive shelling of sites in eastern Khan Yunis.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have not yet commented on the incident.
This event unfolds against the backdrop of fragile ceasefire dynamics following the U.S.-brokered truce that took effect on October 11, 2025, after nearly two years of conflict. While the agreement has held in phases—allowing limited aid flows and prisoner exchanges—both sides have accused each other of violations, including sporadic airstrikes and rocket fire.
Gaza's Hamas-run health ministry has documented over 393 alleged Israeli breaches since the truce, contributing to a post-ceasefire death toll exceeding 571, pushing the overall Palestinian casualty figure to over 69,500 killed and 170,745 injured since October 7, 2023.
The incessant hostilities are the result of the abrupt Hamas-led attack on southern Israel on October 7, 2023, in which about 1,200 people were killed and 251 others were taken hostage. Since then, the Israeli military has been attacking the Gaza Strip.
