Trump says Iran talks “proceeding nicely,” calls potential deal “historic”
US President Donald Trump has said that negotiations with Iran are “proceeding nicely”, stressing that any potential agreement would either be “a great deal” or no deal at all, and describing the proposed deal as “historic”.
In a post on his Truth Social account, he said that if no deal is reached, they will return to the battlefield, to military action, but on a larger and more powerful scale than ever before, adding that “nobody wants that,” Caliber.Az reports.
Trump also referred to discussions with several regional leaders, including the crown prince of Saudi Arabia, the leaders of the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Türkiye, Egypt, Jordan, Bahrain, and Pakistan, among others.
He made it clear that following US efforts to assemble what he called a “complex puzzle,” it should be a requirement that these countries at least simultaneously join the Abraham Accords.
“It may be possible that one or two have a reason for not doing so, and that will be accepted, but most should be ready, willing, and able to make this Settlement with Iran a far more Historic Event than it would, otherwise, be,” he wrote.
Trump added that the accords have brought “financial, economic, and social boom” to participating countries and described them as a framework capable of reshaping the Middle East into a more unified and economically strong region.
He said he had instructed his representatives to begin and complete the process of expanding participation in the accords, calling it a potentially historic development.
