Turkish president to attend inauguration of Zangilan Int’l Airport

Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev has said that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will attend the opening ceremony of the international airport, which is currently under construction in Azerbaijan’s liberated Zangilan District.

President Aliyev made the statement in a meeting with the Turkish Minister for Family Affairs and Social Services Derya Yanik in Baku on July 19, APA reports.

The head of the state noted with satisfaction that together with the president of Türkiye he would take part in the opening of Zangilan International Airport.

According to the Azerbaijani government’s plans, the construction of the airport will be completed in September this year.
