Turkish troops neutralise 41 PKK militants in Syria VIDEO
The Turkish Armed Forces have neutralised 41 YPG/PKK terrorists in Tel Rifat and Manbij areas of northern Syria.
The operation was launched in response to the shelling of the Jibrin military base and the Onjupinar police checkpoint, Caliber.Az cites the Turkish National Defence Ministry as saying on Twitter.
In addition, the Turkish National Intelligence Organisation (MIT) stated that it has neutralised Abdulqahar Karasac, one of the ringleaders of the RKK terrorist organization in northern Iraq, who was among the masterminds behind the 2017 terrorist attack in Izmir that killed police officer Fethi Sekin.
According to Anadolu, Turkish security sources say intelligence officials have long tracked the terrorist's movements under the call sign "Alisher Ciya".
Karasac has in recent years been active with PKK terrorists in both Syria and Iraq and was involved in preparations for strikes on Turkish territory via drones and other aircraft.
Sources in Ankara stressed that the elimination of Abdulkahar Karasac indicates that Türkiye will continue to eliminate terrorists anywhere in the world.
