UK intelligence: Russia hits Ukraine with old cruise missiles
Russia has launched dozens of missiles designed to hit aircraft carriers on Ukrainian territory since April.
Information about this was spread by British intelligence, according to UNIAN.
The Russian Federation was hitting the territory of Ukraine with Soviet cruise missiles X-22 "Storm" (weight - 5.5 tons), which were adopted in the late 1960s - early 1970s and were developed for use against aircraft carriers.
Since April, the Russian Federation has used dozens of such old missiles against the Ukrainian state, according to British intelligence.
Intelligence analysts stated that the Russian Federation may use the X-22 "Storm" against Ukraine as it is running out of modern more accurate ammunition.
The intelligence added that the X-22 "Storm" when used against ground targets has very low accuracy, which is why there can be a lot of casualties among the civilian population.
