Ukraine extends mobilisation for 19th time until August 2026

28 April 2026 15:06

Ukraine’s parliament, the Verkhovna Rada, has voted for the 19th time to extend the duration of nationwide mobilisation, continuing wartime measures amid the ongoing conflict.

According to Ukrainian media, the decision was adopted during a parliamentary session on April 28, with 304 lawmakers voting in favour.

Under the approved legislation, the mobilisation period will now remain in force until August 2, 2026. The law formalises a presidential decree issued on April 27, 2026, No. 343/2026, titled “On the extension of the term of general mobilisation.”

The extension is part of broader emergency measures being maintained by Ukrainian authorities. Earlier, the Verkhovna Rada also extended martial law in the country for an additional 90 days, likewise marking the 19th such extension since the start of the full-scale war.
