Ukraine says air defences neutralised 110 drones in overnight Russian attack PHOTO
Russia launched a large-scale overnight drone attack on Ukraine on June 13, deploying 118 unmanned aerial vehicles, including strike drones, loitering munitions, and decoy drones, according to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The Ukrainian military said the attack involved “Shahed,” “Gerbera,” and “Italmas” strike UAVs, as well as “Banderole” loitering munitions and “Parodia”-type decoy drones, Caliber.Az reports.

Ukraine's air defences responded using aviation units, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare systems, unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of the country's defence forces.
According to preliminary figures released by the military, Ukrainian forces had shot down or otherwise neutralised 110 of the incoming drones by 08:30 local time. The interceptions reportedly took place across northern, southern, and eastern regions of the country.
The military said three strike drones reached their targets, hitting three separate locations. Debris from intercepted UAVs was also reported at six locations.
Despite the reported success of the air defence operation, Ukrainian authorities warned that the threat had not fully subsided.
“The attack is ongoing; several Russian UAVs are in the airspace. Please observe safety precautions!” the Armed Forces of Ukraine said in a statement.
